Project 365 | Weeks 6 + 7

I’ve been a bit behind on the updates, thus the combined weeks in this post.  The last two weeks were packed with fun events, special occasion dinners, and vivid colors.   J & I caught a live concert in downtown with the Bay Area’s own Anya and the Getdown band – a fusion of Amy Winehouse and Adele.  I also was privileged to hear Gabrielle Hamilton speak candidly about her New York Time’s bestselling memoir Blood, Bones, and Butter.  I swept up a paperback copy and stood in line for about half an hour just to shake her hand and get her autograph.  It was also the week of Valentine’s Day, which not only meant spending precious time with my husband at La Fondue and enjoying a home-cooked meal, but also visiting beloved friends and family.  Inspired by a friend’s suggestion, I also sent out Valentine cards to close girl friends (circa elementary school).  Of course, you don’t need to wait for the holidays to tell people that you love them.  That should happen as often as possible.

  • Oh my gosh you are so cute sending Valentine’s to your friends!! Love it :) I also love Menage a Trois and fondue….looks like you had a great couple of weeks!

  • Thanks Kristen. I think they were pleasantly surprised and touched by the gesture! My husband and I discussed the idea of doing a group Valentine’s dinner next year with friends – singles/couples/whoever. In the end, it’s all about the company and people we love. Hope you’re having a great week!
